New York City: National Office
Welcome to ReServe New York City: Helping continuing professionals age 55+ reinvest a career's worth of skills to strengthen their communities. ReServists work in capacity-building and direct-service positions, which draw on the professional skills they acquired during their primary careers. Through its Social Impact Initiatives ReServe also recruits, trains and deploys large numbers of ReServists from varied professional backgrounds to deliver high-value services at public institutions such as schools and libraries. Since 2005, ReServe New York City has made more than 2,000 placements of ReServists at nonprofit organizations, public institutions and government agencies in all five Boroughs. In 2010, more than 540 ReServists served in the nonprofit and public sectors, providing over 230,000 hours of service to 175 partner agencies including 19 City agencies. In the 2011-2012 school year, more than 90 ReServists will be working in schools throughout New York City: helping high school students apply to college, increasing attendance in middle schools and working in after school programs.
