Community Health Worker Supervisor

Oleavis Callender

Oleavis Callender is a Community Health Worker Supervisor for ReServe Health Initiatives, working on the COVID-19 Disparities Grant. She is responsible for developing weekly individualized outreach plans for field operations for 12 Community Health Workers. Oleavis began her tenure at ReServe, Inc under the banner of the Test and Trace Corps (T2), as a Community Builder, helping to get NYC vaccinated. She was eventually promoted to Community Organizing Supervisor.

Oleavis has an Associate’s in Liberal Arts from Kingsborough Community College, a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from CUNY-Brooklyn College, and a Master’s in Early Childhood Education, with a specialty in students with disabilities from The College of New Rochelle.

“ReServe has given me a chance to reimagine what it means to be an educator. Instead of being boxed into teaching in a classroom, I now have a chance to educate an entire city full of people right in their own communities,” Oleavis says.
