The ReServe Talent
We have a large pool of active, accomplished, age 55+ professionals known as ReServists. ReServists want to use their professional skills, maturity, and passions for the public good. Connecting our high value talent to staffing gaps in your nonprofit, government agency, or educational institution is a win-win proposition. These highly skilled and experienced individuals, bring with them the confidence and maturity characteristic of experienced professionals, along with a relaxed eagerness and enthusiasm for tackling new projects—all at a fraction of the cost of salaried worker or a consultant.
Examples of work currently being done by ReServists on a part-time basis include:
- A former NYC school principal and HR director of a large Jewish nonprofit now serves as the HR specialist at the Center for New York City Neighborhoods.
- A former assistant director at Ernst & Young conducts research for Agenda for Children Tomorrow.
- A former engineer teaches computer skills to seniors at the Lincoln Square Neighborhood Center.
- One of the founding editors of W magazine and former managing editor at Women’s Wear Daily now works on a variety of marketing projects for the Flatiron/23rd Street Partnership Business Improvement District (BID) and frequently contributes articles and photographs to the BID’s newsletter and website.
- A former IBM program manager works with the guidance counselor at the International High School at LaGuardia Community College helping 11th graders to fill out their financial aid forms and prepare their college applications.
- A former administrative assistant from JP Morgan Chase and a former hospital administrator both work at the Arab American Family Support Center, one as an office manager and the other as a development associate.
